Terms of Use

1. Who we are

The Blitzchapter app and the blitzchapter.com website are published by SnouzyLabs S.R.L., a company incorporated under Romanian law and represented by Mathias Bradiceanu, Strada Fagului 40F, 077010 Afumați, jud. Ilfov, Romania. Contact: hello@snouzylabs.com.

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States.

2. The app

Blitzchapter is a reading app: it shows text word by word or as a guided page, at the speed you choose, and helps you read a little every day (timer, streak, reminders, highlights, notes).

By using the app, you accept these terms and Apple's standard license agreement for apps (the “Licensed Application End User License Agreement”), which applies to Blitzchapter: www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

3. No account

Blitzchapter doesn't require an account. Your books, progress, notes and settings stay on your device. Deleting the app erases them, unless they are part of a backup of your device.

4. Premium

Some features are free with no time limit. Premium unlocks the rest (other ways to read, the full catalog, colors, notes, cards, the year in review). There are two subscriptions: yearly and monthly. Their price is shown in the app and on the App Store before any purchase.

The yearly subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, once per Apple account. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription is charged to your Apple account and begins.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same length of time unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

Purchases are made with Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refund requests go through Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. The books

The classics offered in the app are public-domain works, taken in particular from Project Gutenberg and Wikisource.

You can import your own DRM-free EPUB files. You must have the right to read them; they stay on your device and are never sent to us.

6. What the app doesn't promise

Reading speed and comprehension vary from person to person. The app doesn't guarantee any measurable result. The facts about reading shown in the app are for information only, with their source and their limits; they are not medical advice.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its name, its logo, its text and its code belong to SnouzyLabs S.R.L. Public-domain works remain free to use; the way they are formatted in the app does not.

8. Liability

We do our best to make the app work well, but we can't guarantee it will be free of errors or interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law of your country gives you as a consumer.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version; if there is a significant change, the app will let you know.
